Ubah Cristina Ali Farah is a Somali-Italian author of two novels, Madre piccola (Frassinelli, 2007) and Il comandante del fiume (66thand2nd, 2014), as well as various short stories and poems. Her work has been translated into English and Dutch. In 2006, she won the Lingua Madre National Literary Prize, and in 2019 she was a fellow of the Civitella Ranieri Foundation. She is currently in residence at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study (South Africa).
